Use of library subscription databases showed healthy increases again this quarter, continuing an upward trend that has seen successive gains for the past three quarters. During that run, combined database use climbed from 3,157 to 3,316 downloads a year to date increase of 6%. ASTM Compass, Knovel, and Books24x7 (whose interface was recently improved) remain the library's most used databases, but this quarter we saw a steep rise in the number of "clickthroughs" in the library's online catalog to publicly accessible documents. That would not be possible without ongoing professional catalog maintenance by Gil Kenner in the Technical Services department.
