We loan thousands of physical items from our collections every year, and we will gladly ship to VDOT employees wherever they want to receive items (including home offices).  Learn more about Library Borrowing.

Through our Interlibrary Loan (ILL) service we can borrow esoteric or hard-to-find materials from libraries across the state, around the the country, and even overseas. Need an article, chapter or part of a printed report but not the whole thing. Or just don't want to deal with print?  We'll scan and send what you need. Request items with this ILL Form.

VDOT employees who don't have the time (or the desire) to invest in a comprehensive literature search can utilize the library's free Literature Search Service. We're quick and thorough, and our sources are authoritative, so we tend to find sources others miss when they only search Google.

Library Lockers offer a secure location VDOT employees can use to store copyrighted materials for use by peers. Request a locker or add files to an existing locker with this Online Form.
