ScienceDirect: Finding Full-Text: Regular Accounts

VDOT has a unique approach for accessing full-text publications from ScienceDirect. This guide explains the two types of accounts that are available to VDOT patrons.

Regular Accounts

A regular account holder who wants the full text of an article will see the wording "Get Access" when they get to the point of download:

Selecting "Get Access" brings up a "Request Document" button:

Clicking that button brings up an online form. When filled out the form is sent to library staff who will download the requested document (at which point VDOT's account is debited) and deliver the document to the to the patron:
