Library Catalog Quick Start Guide

This is a guide to assist patrons using the VDOT Research Library's online EOS catalog.

Simple Search

'Simple Search' is just that. Just type in a keyword or phrase to get results. Results are displayed in Relevancy or title order depending on your set-up.

Step 1: Type in the Term(s) you want to search for: Enter a single keyword, multiple keywords, or an exact phrase (a text string within "quotation marks").

Step 2: Click 'Search" to launch the search. You can also click 'Start Over' to clear the field and resume searching. You'll notice that search your terms will appear highlighted in the results and the number of unique records matching your terms is displayed:
